jones the grocer Unveils New Chef’s Specials Menu for Summer

It’s no doubt that time of the season where things get pretty unbearable, climate-wise, and the holy month of Ramadan draws nearer. Australian origin food emporium, jones the grocer has launched a new Chef’s Specials Menu to make the summer season more enjoyable. The newly launched Chef’s Specials Menu is inspired by the Paleo Diet, Middle Eastern Ramadan dishes, as well as a mouth-watering new Roast Dinner takeaway and delivery service.

The Paleo Diet focuses on a nutritional approach; with a focus on eating a lean, clean diet. jones the grocer’s talented chefs have combined wholesome natural ingredients and innovative recipes to prepare dishes that are bursting with flavour. The Asian accented carrot soup features coconut milk, ginger and lemongrass. An uncomplicated yet utterly delicious roasted cauliflower salad combines pine nuts, raisins and capers with honey dressing. The open wagyu burger with fried onion, avocado & banana purée on roma tomato and baby gem lettuce served with oven sweet potato fries packs an indulgent punch. The blueberry mousse cake provides a perfectly light, airy and naturally sweet end. This Paleo menu will be available across all jones the grocer outlets until Sunday 14 June. To complement this menu, jones the grocer will be stocking a selection of all natural groceries that are perfect for those looking to stock their Paleo inspired larder; Tropicai Coconut Flour (perfect for baking), Jax Coco coconut water & coconut extra virgin oil and Sixieme Epice Honey.

For the Middle Eastern Ramadan dishes, jones the grocer’s chefs have drawn inspiration from regional and local cuisine. Whilst the ingredients and spices might be familiar, it’s their innovative combination that is showcased in the slow-cooked duck shawarma served with homemade date jam or the fresh herbs salad with lamb kebab, pickled red onion and pistachio dressed with tahini yoghurt. The black cod wrapped in vine leaves accompanied with roasted aubergine, walnuts and pomegranate salad or the roasted corn fed poussin with saffron caramelised shallot, chickpea and pearl couscous are modern dishes infused with traditional flavours from the Levant. There is a tradition of sweet after a day of restraint during Ramadan and the pastry team at jones the grocer have created an indulgent saffron infused nabulsi cheesecake with kataifi crust as well as a date and pistachio fudge. jones the grocer’s Dubai outlets, Al Manara and Al Safa, will be offering jones’ renowned breakfast selection for dinner after Iftar, making it the perfect treat once the sun sets. The Ramadan Menu is available daily, between 15 June to 13 July.

jones the grocer is also renowned for their take away Roast Turkey Dinner during Thanksgiving and Christmas period, and now – due to popular demand, they are pleased to announce Roast Dinners for home delivery & takeaway on an ongoing basis.
