Since the shocking news of Prince’s untimely death broke, millions of people around the world have paid tribute to the 57-year-old music legend using different medium. From President Barack Obama, to the likes of Donatella Versace, Naomi Campbell, Wiz Khalifa, Frank Ocean, and James Franco, tearful tributes continue to pour in.

American magazine The New Yorker also unveiled its cover for their upcoming May 2 issue with a somber illustration by Bob Staake which references both the film and studio album Purple Rain, by the deceased music icon.
Snapchat has also honored Prince by adding a new filter to allow users to celebrate and mourn one of the most prolific singers/songwriters/performers the world has ever seen. The new “Purple Rain” filter, showers the user in little droplets of purple rain.
