Maison Kitsuné has rolled out its lookbook for Spring/Summer 2017. The lookbook, which consists of men collection and women’s pre-collection, draws inspiration from the burlesque world of Jacques Tati.
Maison Kitsuné co-founders and artistic directors, Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, have imagined a collection full of edgy, minimalist pieces with hints of ’50s chic.
Playful, retro-tinged prints pay tribute to the late director’s most iconic works: the fish sculpture fountain at the Villa Arpel presents as an all-over Lurex jacquard, the slender figure of Monsieur Hulot is sketched behind the emblematic MAISON KITSUNÉ fox, and Playtime becomes “Playtime with Maison Kitsuné.”
Both natural fabrics and modern technical materials unite on the silhouettes, for both the men’s and women’s SS17 “Party with Maison Kitsuné” collections, and you can peruse and validate the aforementioned via the above lookbook.
