New Balance has just rolled out a brand new silhouette inspired by the modern-day culture of living life 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Aptly dubbed “247,” the sneaker takes bits and pieces from other classic New Balance designs and blends them into an entirely new modern creation. The throat pattern on the forefoot is inspired by the M1300JP silhouette, the classic NB grey nubuck is nicely contrasted with a dark teal toe box, a nod to the original 576, while the 998 model from 1993 is the foundation for the Revlite sole unit.
Here’s the catch though, only 247 pairs of the shoe have been produced, all of which will be released to “Friends and Family” only in the first instance. Each pair comes complete with a luxury leather “passport” and bag for conveyance. For now it’s unknown whether NB will roll out this beauty to the public at a later date, but it seems very likely. Stay tuned for more information.
