The first full trailer for The Fate of the Furious is finally here, and as expected, it’s full of fast cars, explosions, and a few surprises. The trailer kicks off with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), turning his back on Luke Hobbs (The Rock) and the rest of the crew to instead work with the police.
The story is based on a script by Chris Morgan (who has written every Fast and Furious film since Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), and picks up with Dom and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) living a normal life, which is then turned upside down when a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) seduces Dom back into the world of crime, and into the betrayal of his family.
This is our first look at what a post-Paul Walker (RIP) Fast and Furious movie will look like. The Fate of the Furious also stars Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Elsa Pataky, and Nathalie Emmanuel, and is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job). Watch the trailer above and expect the movie to hit theaters on April 14, 2017.
