Fear of God Fifth Collection

Jerry Lorenzo has finally unveiled the much anticipated Fear of God Fifth Collection, which is undoubtedly his most comprehensive seasonal range to date.

Kicking off with basic sweats and flannels, to a small denim program, then footwear, and now a full fledge cut and sew goods, Fear of God has been able to make a name for itself amongst numerous brands that stands in between streetwear and luxury.

For the Fifth collection, Jerry Lorenzo once again looks towards his childhood and influences around that time, which include baseball with his father’s involvement in Major League Baseball as a player, coach and manager. The range revolves around model Geron McKinley, who was selected a year ago as the muse that Lorenzo could design around. Jerry Lorenzo adds context to this by stating, “The inspiration is the high school cool kid from the ’90s — when the star athlete dictated what was ‘cool’ and not the ‘fashion kid’ of present day. When the only information you had access to was your closet and you had to make it work somehow.”

Highlights include new versions of the short-sleeved plaid topcoat that we’ve seen from FOD in the past, some Sherpa-lined denim goods, as well as cozy, oversized hoodies. The range also features a good deal of new footwear styles that Lorenzo has been teasing on Instagram lately.

Check out the comprehensive lookbook above, and look out for the collection to release via the brand’s online store in the coming months. Pre-Order begins March 2017.
