Since the commercial introduction of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 35 years ago, the luxury SUV has continued to represent the finest in road ruggedness and unparalleled performance. The German car maker has just unveiled its latest updates to the series, the 2016 model. For this G-Class model, the car remains relatively unchanged, even though the updates to the engine specifications, interior, and performance body might make it the best so far. Mercedes has introduced a new 4.0 liter turbocharged V8 engine for the G500, also the ouput of the G350 and the G63 AMG have been increased. Also, all engines have been outfitted with an ECO start/stop function to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. On the cosmetic side, the G-Class boasts plush leather interior, while Mercedes’ proprietary on-board entertainment system helps make any adventure much more easier. At the exterior, the G-Class is buffed up by restyled bumpers and flared wheel wells. As part of a new color package, Mercedes-Benz is offering solar beam, tomato red, alien green, sunset beam and galactic beam combined with black trimmings on the outside, and color matching top-stitching on the inside.
