Luxury watchmaker, Roger Dubuis, has returned with the third iteration of the “Knights of the Round Table” watch series – the “Knights of the Round Table III”. The brand introduced the first watch in this series in 2013, and followed up with a second iteration in 2015.
The new release, just like the previous models, is inspired by the legend of King Arthur, with the watch face representing the round table and the 12 knights who sat around it. The dial – which features models of the knights proudly holding their swords – is made from sculpted gold and translucent blue enamel.
Furthermore, the gaudy timepiece is enclosed in a signature 45mm Excalibur case in pink gold, with its hallmark triple lugs and fluted bezel. Underneath the solid gold case back is the Calibre RD 821, an in-house automatic movement with a central rotor. A matching blue alligator strap rounds out the special design.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Knights of the Round Table III watch will be limited to 28 pieces, with each one priced at CHF 285,000 which is around the same figure in USD. For more details, head over to the company’s website.
