Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2019 Collection

Back in January, it was announced that Kim Jones would be leaving Louis Vuitton as men’s Artistic Director, after showcasing his final FW18 collection, the following day. A couple of months after that, the British designer was announced as Creative Director of Dior Homme, replacing Kris Van Assche. Three months after his appointment, Kim Jones makes his Dior Homme debut at Paris Fashion Week, with the Spring/Summer 2019 Collection – in a grand way.

Jones invited Prince Nikolai of Denmark to open the presentation, as a tribute to Dior and to his own heritage. He stated: “I’m half Danish and Mr Dior always had that thing with royalty, and so I thought it would be nice to open with a prince – quite glamorous isn’t it?” Present at the front row of the show, are the likes of Takashi Murakami, Virgil Abloh, A$AP Rocky, Skepta, Naomi Campbell, Lenny Kravitz, Bella Hadid, Luka Sabbat, and more.

The aesthetics of the collection shows a softer Dior Homme than we are used to seeing with Kris Van Assche. Check out the entire Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2019 Collection at Paris Fashion Week 2018, and be sure to follow Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 for the latest seasonal coverage.
