Samsung has officially unveiled the new Galaxy Note9 – the latest addition to its flagship Galaxy smartphone line. Currently available in Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple, the smartphone boasts an all day performance, a new S Pen that features connectivity, and Samsung’s most intelligent camera to date.
President and CEO of IT and Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics, DJ Koh had this to say, “The Note has always been our showcase for premium technology and industry-defining innovation, and Galaxy Note9 is no exception. It’s designed for a level of performance, power and intelligence that today’s power users want and need.” He further stated that “Note fans are Samsung’s most loyal; we know they want it all, to get the most out of work and play, and Galaxy Note9 is the only phone that can keep up with their busy lives.”
The Galaxy Note9 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display, complemented by stereo speakers capable of supporting Dolby Atmos. A 4,000mAh battery equips the device with a long-lasting power to talk, text, play games, run apps, and watch movies. In addition to aforementioned, the smartphone comes with two internal storage options of 128GB and 512GB, with support for expandable microSD storage.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note9 welcomes a 10nm processor, supporting the fastest network speeds available, with up to 1.2 gigabits per second. Samsung’s Water Carbon Cooling system and on-device AI-based performance adjusting algorithm ensures the device remains powerful and stable at all times.
The newly improved S Pen now gives the user more control. Complete with Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support, users will be able to take selfies and group pictures, present slides, control music, and more. Additionally, developers will be able to integrate the S Pen’s new BLE functionalities into their apps later in 2018.
Samsung has also improved the camera capabilities in the Note9 smartphone, with the implementation of a scene optimizer and flaw detection. The Note9 camera now boasts an advanced noise reduction technology and a Dual Aperture lens, which adjusts to light similar to the way a human eye does.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 comes standard with fast wireless charging, IP68 water and dust resistance5, and Samsung Health and Samsung Pay. Knox security platform and biometric security options include fingerprint scanning, iris scanning, and facial recognition.
