Longines Adds a New Skin Diver to its Heritage Lineup

Longines has officially added a new Skin Diver watch to its heritage lineup. The Skin Diver is based on the Saint-Imier-based luxury watchmaker’s first dive watch from 1959.

The watch features a 42mm steel case, a PVD coated unidirectional bezel, an unguarded screw-in crown, domed sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating, Super-LumiNova lume, and a choice of a rubber strap or Milanese bracelet.

Similar trademark detailing from the original Skin Diver can be found on this new offering, such as a decorated caseback depicting a scuba diver with spear in hand, 3/6/9/12 Arabic numerals, an arrow-like hour hand matched with a tapered minute hand, and a matte black dial with golden-brown indices.

The new Longines Skin Diver is powered by a Calibre L888.2 (base ETA A31.L01) with a long power reserve of 64 hours. The watch is priced at $2,600 USD, making it one of the more affordable entry-level, Swiss-made mechanical watches on the market. Proceed here for more information.
